On Thursday evening some persons became disorderly ami drunk on the streets of Cloverdale and quite a disturbance w-as caused both before and after Marshal Beeves was called on to quiet the trouble. He was resisted by the disorderly parties and received a terrible blow on the Jiead. Two persons attacked him, but lie was sufficient to the emergency and quite a “revolution” occurred, but Marshal Reeves came out on top, and discharged his duty like a man/ He is a pretty good man and notwithstanding two persons attacked him he handled them both. Some of the good citizens stood by to see that the marshal did his work well. Deputy sheriff Homer Foster went to Cloverdale lust night.
