Nov. 11.—On Thun-day evening an aged woman was run over by an electric car at the comer of Jiudceon and Fifth streets. Nobody recognized her. and she was token to the city hospital in an unconscious condition. Hit right leg was broken, and she was so badly injured internally that she died Saturday. In preparing the body for burial |8. r >.0U0 in greenbacks was found sewed into her clothing in various places. The remains were identified by Richard T. O'Connor, clerk of the district court, as those of Mrs. Anna Klotz, of Payne avenue. She was over 80 years of age. and of German descent. As she lias no heirs in this country it is not known what will lie done with the snug little fortune found stitched in her
clothing.
Low Mhnm Imtcatl of a High One. Saeatoua. N. Y.. Nov. 11.—A lively scene occurred in St. Peter's Catholic church here Sunday. During the celebration of high mass the pastor, Rev. Father John McMenomy went down the middle aisle demanding payment of pew rent. He talked loudly and severely to several prominent members^ and ordered the church choir to stop and the mass changed from a high to a low one. Nearly the entire congregation r< se and left the church. It is thought the matter will be carried to
the bishop.
Trial Post polled.
Newark. N. J., Nov. 11.—At the request of Assistant Prosecutor Hood .Judge Kirkpatrick lias postponed the trial of Mrs. Lucy Parsons and the other Anarchists charged with rioting in this city. On application of Mr. Hood the prisoners' bonds were increased to $2,000, and as they were unable to find bail for the necessary amount they were returned to jail. The date of their trial lias not yet been sent
down.
