Ely was married to a quadroon nt the African Baptist Church in New Albany on Sunday night. It is said the marriage created quite a sensation as well as indignation a mong the colored population of that tity, as the bride is reported to be wealthy. The marriage license was obtained at Charleston, Clark County. Cottom, of the New Albany Ledger, is sometimes windy. Here is his last effort: • “While we hear of no special revivals of religion in Dubois county, the most cheering reports come to us of a great matrimonial revival in that county. Last week there were seventeen weddings in the county, and the weather not considered very favorable for such events, either. For matrimony and beans Dubois bears off the championship.”- t . Some human beins will be the result of that revival.
