New Advertisements. Notice—Lohman. Notice of Administration —Jeleff. Circuit Court.— There will be no adjourned term of the Circuit Csurt this month. Parties interested will govern themselves accorpingly. The New York Evening Mail says that this is one of the most prolific years for peaches ever known, and predicts that they will be down to fifty cents a bushel in that market. For Bluffton.—We understand I). Studabaker and Solomon Linn, of this place, are about to set up a stave and heading factory at Bluffton, in view of the speedy completion of the railroad to that place. Flax Seed.—Flax seed sold for 81 25 per bushel in this market, Tuesday. That is a better figure than could be obtained on the railroad for it. Who says Decatur is not a'good market?
Camp Meeting.—Camp Meeting commences on the camp ground near Newville, to-day, August 20th There will arobably he a large at tendance. We notice quite a res pectable number from this section are making preparations to at tend.

JEST General Rosecrans has de dined the Democratic nomination for Governor of Ohio. The State Central Committee have put the name of George 11. Pendleton at the head of the ticket. Mr. Pen dleton has accepted the nomina tion, and the canvass is over will make it warm for the Radicals of Ohio. •—■ — — - ♦ — Spontaneous ’Combustion.—The Bluffton Banver of last week states that Mr. Martindale, agent of the State Temperance Alliance, related a story of an old German ladyliving near Decatur, vho drank go much beer that spontaneous combustion took place, consuming the ancient dame. The Banner says, “Startling, if true; but we await confirmation through the papers.” We can’t confirm the story; wish we could and had the use of friend Martindale’s prolific imagination to adorn the talc while wc wrote up the story.

JC3T The test oath if applied to the members of the Virginia legislature will give the Radicals control of the legislature and* Sccuhj the election of two United States Senators. In a similar case in Georgia it was decided that the test oath would not be required. It was to the interest of Radicalism, henae the decision. In the Virginia case it is to their interest to hare the decision reversed. It remains to be seen whether Gen. Sherman can bear the presuro suf flciently to set it aside. Law, authority, constitutions, usage, respect, decency, justice, right, or anjlhing else that has heretofore been observed by men, has been sacrificed upon the Radical altar of policy. Will they continue their course ? Wc shall see.
Merry’s Museum.—ln Merry's Museum for August, Miss Alcott, the editor, relates, with her singular power of brief and vivid description, a pathetic experience of her hospital life during the late war. Iler story of “An Old-Fash-ioned Girl” is continued, introducing Polly to some new fashions. “Madam Cluck and her Family” will please the little folks, while “Writing Composition” and “Marie Antoinette” are instructive and interesting. In addition to this pleasing variety, we have a charming poem by Miss Prescott, the usual Monthly Chat, Puzzle-Draw-er, <fcc., the whole handsomely illustrated and well printed. $1 50 a year. Single numbers, 15 cents. Horace B. Fuller, Publisher, 14, Broomfield Street, Boston.
