Quarterly i meeting commences on Saturday. ■ Services by the Elder at the M. E. Church, at 11 o’clock a. m. SPECIAL. NOTICES. Consumption Curnbleby Dr. Schenck’s ; Medicises. To curs Consumption, the system must be prepared so that the lungs will heat. To ac- ! complish this, the liver and stomach must first be cleansed and an appetite created for good wholesome food, by these medicines will be digested properly, and good healthy blood made; tnus building up the constitution. Schenck’s Mandrake Pills cleanse the stomach of all bilious or mucous accumulations; and, by using the Sea Weed Tonic in connection, the appetite is restored. Schenck’s Pulmonic Srrup is nutricious’as well as medicinal, by using the three remedies, all impurities are expelled from the system, and good, wholesome blood made, which will repel all disease. If patients will fake these medicines acco’ding to directions, Consumption very frequently in its last stages yields roadily to their action. Take the pi'ls fre quently, to cleanse the liver and stomach. It does not follow that because the bowels arc not costive they are not required, for sometimes in diarrhoea they arc necessary. The stomach must be kept healthy, and an appetite created te allow the Pulmonic Syrup to act on the respiratory ergans properly and allay any irration. Then all that is required to perform a permanent cure is to prevent taking cold. Ex ercise about the rooms as much ns possible, eat all the richest food—fat meat, game, and, in fact, anything the appetite craves; but be particular nnd masticate well. [2nd w ea.mo. 1 yr.

CLIMAX. A plain statement of facts. I inherited Scrofula, and many of my relations have died of it. In 1839 my case was frightful. Turn ors and ulcers spread until in 1842, under the advice of my physicions! I went to Avon Springe. I received no benefit—tried every medicine and did everything I could. 1 had forest my arm on a cushion, and had mot been able to raise it, to my head for over a year. The discharge from two ulcers was nearly a pint a day. Amputation was recommended; but pionounecd dangerous. I could not sleep, and my sufferings were intolerable. A friend brought me an English physician who applied a salve with which he said he had ac complished extraordinary cures in the hospital in England. Itcommencedj to relieve; I per sisted in its use; it finally effected a perfect and entire cure. Il is now 1843. It is five years since I had the appearance of a scrofulous sore, and my health has been good ever §inco. I procured the £ ceipt of this wonderful article—this blessing of humanity—and have sailed it "Page’s Climax Salve,” and allow the public uot seit or not as they chose. This is a brief but candid statement, given more fully in my circular. J. M. PAGE. Geneva, New York, December, 1818. New York, Oct. 16,1866. "I have known J.M. Page, Esq., of Geneva N.Y., for many years. He is one of the first citizens of Western New York. I saw him last week health. His case was a most remarkable one, but actually true ia every particular. To the Martyrs of Lircr e 'r , oinnlnlnV. Among the wonderful medical properties which have rendered hoststtess stomach Bittebs pre-eminent among ;hc healih-restoriug preparations of the age, its anti bilious virtues are not the len‘t rcmatkable. No woidscan do justice to its marvelous effects upon the diseased liver. Perhaps the simn’.e words of a convalescent sufferer, who describes it as “going right to the spot,’’ tell the story as clearly as may be. It docs go right to the spot. It operates directly upon the disordered organ, and whether unduly active or in a stat" of paralysis, restores it to n condition of health. The Sickness at the Stomach, pain between the Shoulders nnd in the Right Side, Yellow Suffusion of the Skin, Cosliv.ness, Drowsiness and Languor, Dimness of sight, Colic; Palpitation of the Heart, Dry Cough, Low Fever, and other symptenrs which indicate the various phases of Acute and Chronic ■ Liver Complaint, are one and all promptly reI lieved, end finally removed, by iheaction of I this famiou 3 preparation, which is at once the best of correctives, the gentlest and most genial of aperients, an infallible regulator, and a powerful rcstoral iro. Persons of a billions habit, who use the bitters as a protective medicine, "ill never suffer the pains and penalties of Li/er disease or Billions Remittent Fever.
