Senate —The following Senate bills were reported from conmit'.i-es with favorable recommendation: 63, repealing unconsti tntional laws; 84, increasing the pay of Circuit and Common Pleas judges; 97, designating Hollidays ar.d providing for the payment of obligations falling due thereon; 103, for protection of insurance companies; 8, providing for the care of estates of drunkards; 98, appropriating 840,000 for the temporary rebet of the benevelent institutions. Read a second and third time and passed, under the suspension of the rules 38 to 2. The following resolutions were offered; By Mr. Carson; Raising a committee to inquire into the expediency of requiring county officers to pay all fees into the treasury and draw specified salaries. Adopted. By Mr. Carson; Senate bill 126, for an amendment to the constitution allowing towns and cities to levy scool lax. Hcn^s, —The bill extending the term of office of township trustees from one to three years, was discussed at length.
