Idaho Teritory.—A letter to the Pittsburg Commercial furnishes (he following: Virginia City, Idaho. April. 18, 1 have spent the past winter in traveling around over the country in search of deposits of gold but was not successful in finding any sufficiently rich to satisfy me, so in March I came here, and purchased a claim near this place* This is the richest mining camp I was ever in. It is nothing uncommon to take out a pound of gold, or ?21 6 worth to the man, in one day. Wages are from $6 to 312 per day, but all seem to be very well satisfied to pay that much and should hands become scarce no one will find fault i f we have to pay one-third more than we now do. There is every reason to belive that the gold mines will prove as extensive as they arc rich, as good prospect have already been found on the head waters of the Yellow Stone. A town has ■ been laid out at the head of navigation on theYe’low Stone, called Big Horn City. It is at the ' junction of the Big Horn and Yellow Stone rivers, and bids fair to I become a large town. This is decidedly a fast country If a woman becomes dissatisfied with her husband, or finds some ' other man she likes better, she i states her case to the President of the mining district where she resides—hecallsa miner’s meeting—they untie the matrimonial knot, and she is at liberty to take whoever she pleases, provided she can get him, I have knew of several cases of the kind.
