Bulkley. General Butler and his staff, it is said were anxious to lender her stay pleasant. Her baggage was immense. A day or so ere her departure for Richmond, a Mrs. 11, over heard a conv> rsation between Mrs. Bulkley anil Captain Breckinridge, (Rebel j prisoner) and informed Dr. Elliot, Provost Marshall of Old Point, of] the' treasonable language. The) Prot est Marshal looked into the matter, and Mrsß, avers that he’ attempted to awe her into silence, when giving the subject of the conference between the two rebels.! General Butler it is charged, allowed the worn mto go to Rich- ! mond. The World correspondent! says: ‘What argument convinced! Gen. Butler, I am not prepared to say. The case is a mysterious! one howovcL view it in any light! and. I believe, has been transferred to Washington by Governor Pierpont, who is thoroughly disgusted! with the present management in this department The River is falling fast.
