Grand Democratic Rally at Monroeville- —There was a grand outpouring of the democracy of Allen and Adams counties at Monroeville yesterday We Lad expected to see a good mee-1 ting, but the immense throng took us by stippiise and far exceeded all expectations. One hundred and thirty wagons, leaded with democrats, came in procession from Adatna county; next came one hundred and four from Jeflerson township among which was a large hickory wagon bearing 34 young ladies, representing the 34 Stales, lastelully arrayed in ‘red. • white and blue,’ and forming a conspicuous and beautiful feature in the procession. Besides these, wagons came in from evert - direction. A procession was formed, extending tlnee miles in length, containing over three hundred wagons, and when they reach the grove where •the speaking'ook place, it is estimated there were from 3,U00 to 4.000 persons attendance. Such a crowd, collected from so scarseld a settled neighborhood, shows the deep interest felt by the peo- . pie in this crisis. Tney are becoming aroused to a sense of the dangers which threat'n, our free, institutions, and . are tallying round the democratic , standard ns the only hope ol saving ■ <he country from becoming a military , ■ desuotistn. cfcpiiiud and able speeches were made by lion.
