Both were found weltering in their blood, the fattier having received the contents of a SSh’e-barrel gun, loaded with buck shot, in th ■ abdomen and lower part of his bodv while the son bad been shot through -sttß)’)dv by a bullet from a revolver.— bM I werc breathing when found, and it ffil- hoped that the old gentleman may surfive, although no hope is entertained o f tl recovery of the son. Unfc’ tunately, a neighbor named Gray i took die matter as intended for himslf; andla few days since, meeting Colonel Pritle, he demanded if he considered hia)|rlf responsible for what his wife j w®e. The Colonel, who was unconsci- | oifibfwhathe alluded to, repliedin a rathe jocular manner, that he was not, and ihe party seperaled upon apparent- j ]v fri. ndiy terms. Some are of the opinion that the tire originated in the hay stowed away between decks. The bodies of Messrs. The body of Joseph Hamilton is also appropriate!}' shrouded and conffined, and will b. buried at 5 o’clock to day.
