Several friends of John Archer met at his home Thursday evening of last week in honor of his birthday. All present having a good time, after which supper was served. The scholars and members of the Baptist Sunday school are preparing to give an entertainment Easter evening. Rev. Reckard, former pastor of the Baptist church, was shaking hands with his many friends here last Monday. All interested in the Normal at this place, remember it begins April 6. Stall and family accompanied by James Gause, moved to Marion. J. W. Hakes and J. Rie are engaged by an oil company to attend to some business. Crook has moved to Elgin, Ohio, where he will make hi future home. Mahoney has gone to Camden. The stone quarry in this locality will be opened in a few days. Supervisors are preparing to make their rounds. J. N. Hakes traded horses la t week. Easter will be celebrated here to the Utmost. Poor wheat crop is in prospect. Spring is here, and we are glad to tea it.
