T ired, Weak, Nervous Could Not Sleep. Prof. L. D. Edwards, of Preston, Idaho, says: ‘‘l was all run down, weak, nervous and irritable through overwork. I suffered from brain fatigue, mental depression, etc. I be- • came so weak and nervous that 1 could not sleep. I would arise tired, discouraged and blue. I began taking Dr. Miles’ Nervine and now everything is changed I sleep soundly, I feel bright, active and ambitious. I can do more in one day now than I used to do in a week. For this great good I give Dr. Miles’ Restorative Nervine the sole credit. It Cures.” Dr. Miles’ Nervine is sold on a positive guarantee that the first bottle will Benefit. All druggists sell it at JI, 6 bottles for S 3, or it will be sent, prenaid, on receipt of price by the Dr. Miles Medical Co., Elkhart, Ind.
democratic 1222 3 PUBLISHED WEEKLY. DEMOCRATIC PRESS PUBLISHING CO. LEW Q. ELLINGHAM, EDITOR. $1.50 PER YEAR IN ADVANCE. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19. John M. Bvti.er, a lawyer of considerable ability and prominence, died in New York Sunday night. Robert J. seems to be king of, the turf just now. He made his owner $5,000 in 2:05! at Louisville last week. Hornhlower is named by a few wiseacres as the successor to Justice Jackson. The president hasn’t as yet said so. McKinley had nerve enough to come right into Harrison’s own state wigwam and work up his little presidential boomlet. This is indeed sad to relate. It seems a foregone conclusion that Tom Taggart will lie elected mayor of Indianapolis, and some politicians figure their sanquinity np to 4,000 majority. An earthquake in Mexico last Wednesday, shook the breath out of many people, and tore np the earth generally. Monstrous tlaines leaped from the mountains and molten lava engulfed many people who survived the quaking of the earth. Randolph county commissioners have ordinanced that all prisoners receiving sentence from their circuit court, shall work out the samel on the highways ofthe place. This will be disastrious to the weary wanderers who seek the jail for rest and recuperation. The republican political machinery in this state is tinted with anything but harmony. All kinds of three cornered fights are going on in the back ground. Such distinguishable chunks of harmony are anything but pleasant to those who have the bull by the horns. Figures reveal the fact that with the ending of the next session of congress, March 4, 18£6, fourteen democrats, eleven republicans and four populists will be retired by termination of law, unless the legis latures in the various states re elect them. In the list is Senator Voorhee of Indiana. The Louisville grand army encampment last week honored Indiana by electing Col. I. N. Walker commander in chief. The encampment was filled with the usual affecting scenes, where joy could not find expression in words, and comrades who had not met for years, fell on each other's necks, while tears streamed down their wrinkled faces. The members of Sam Henry post report the encampment one of the most pleasant they ever attended, and that the hospitality of the people of Louisville can’t be beaten the world over. The address of welcome by Henry Watterson was j most sou) inspiring, eloquent and ' emotional, and brought tears from every one.
