Winnie Irene W r atts was born in Monmouth, Adams County, Indiana, June 2, 1888, and spent all of her life in and around Monmouth. In the year 1906, June 21st, she was united in marriage to Martin F. Marhenke. To this union were born four children, three of whom have passed away. Merle F. still remains. Whena girl she united with the Concord Lutheran church.
