Local merchants should remember that be holiday season is near, that the time is already at hand when the early hunters for Christmas begin planning gifts. In other words, it's time to advertise. Get busy. If you want to reach the people of Adams county, do it through the columns of the Daily Democrat, which are read by fifteen thousand people. The live citizen of Decatur will agree with us that business has been good the past year, that we never had such a prosperous era, that it would be awfully nice to continue this. We can do it, if we hang together, if we keep on boosting in a conservative. [ clean and healthy way. Some efforts . should be made and soon to interest ' outside capital in starting manufactu;- ■ ing industries. Some work is being! done along this line and developments . are hoped for before spring. Perhaps ■ you are the very person to do th s . Think it over and if you are. act. ! There will be au effort made io | amend the Indiana registration la v when the legislature convenes in January. There arc some amendments that can be made without in-! terfering with the good features of the law. It can be amended so that the cost of operation will be reduced,; and there should be some provision muue to give voters the right to vote , who are not reach the registry tion booth, being" called away by bus iness or other engagements. This would of course be a rather delicate matter to arrange, but there may be a perfectly safe way to do it. —Columbia City Post.
