Miss Dora Fairchild was at Monroe today, visiting. W. H. Myers was a Berne business caller this aftsmoon. Kenworthy and two sons have gone to Camden, Ohio, to visit with relatives for the coming few days. Father Kuebler, who has been at Los Angeles, Cal., for a month past, visiting with relatives, stopped off here with his brother, W. H. Kuebler, on his way home. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lachnit, who have been visiting here for a week past with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Smith, east of the city, left today for their homes. Mrs. Dan Haley went to Fort 1 Wayne this morning to be with her I daughter, Mrs. Henry Guebard, who is very low with consumption. Mrs.] Guebard shows no improvement. Joe Harris, who suffered a fracture of the leg several weeks ago while working ox a house at Rockford, O, i is able to walk about with the aid ot crutches and is rapidly improving. Charles Teeple of the Teeple, Brandyberry & Peterson clothing store, is moving todav from Second street into the Fordyce home on Fourth street, formerly occupied by Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Lower. Miss Ada Ste'-ons left this morning for Lansing and Bath, Mich., where she will visit three weeks, or until school reopens this fall. She was accompanied to Fort Wayne by he- sister, Miss Ola Gaskill. Cliffton Haughton, who recently returned from California, where the family made its home for some time, ha staken a position at the Schlickman & Bailey restaurant. Mr. Haughton was formerly engaged in this business before leaving for the southwest. Miss Bessie Boyers, who has been taking a summer course at the University of Illinois, at Champaign, 111., returned Tuesday for a visit with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. J. S. Boyers, until September 14th, when she will return to the university to complete her course. Irvin Brandyberry is with his family at Angola this week, completing his vacation visit at the lakes near that city. Mr. Brandyberry spent a week with them earlier in the season and returned here to attend to business relating the clothing store in which he has an interest. Dr. and Mrs. C. T. Rainier and grandson, Vane Thompson, left this morning for Leslie, Mich., where they will visit with their son and uncle. Forester Andrews and wife, formerly of this county. They will also probably go to 1-ansing, Mich., to visit with the F. W. Dibble family before their return. They will probably be gone two week— ■
