Good entertainment features have been arranged and refreshments will be served. , The Historical club enjoyed a splendid'. meeting with Mrs. Jane Crabbs Tuesday evening, the hostess having the paper on the divorce question, - which was interestingly discussed. The club will have a "Christmas Evening” at the next meeting at the home of Mrs. A. M. A very interesting meeting of the Yeomen was held Tuesday evening, when they had with them the state manager, Wr F. Carter, who gave an interesting talk for the benefit of the order, as well as other local addresses, which were highly appreciated. Arrangements had been made for the event some weeks ahead and a good time was the outcome of their labor. The adoption of a class of candidates was also made and the selection of' a number of officers by the foreman made known. Guy Brown, who was elected foreman at the election, read the following list, to serve for the coming years Lady Rebekah, Loretta Whitman: Rowena, Mrs. Whitcomb; overseer. William Darwechter; sentinel, Mr. Sampson; watchman, Clar cnce Stevens; guard, John Garard. The work of installation will be given at the first regular meeting to be held next month. The evening of pleasure was brought to a close with a banquet. o .. ELKS’ SPECIAL MEET. The Elks’ meeting of Tuesday evening was a very enthusiastic one, the various committees who had been appointed to look into the question of a new headquarters for the lodge reporting at that time. A large number were on hand and the report which were given seemed satisfactory to all and the work which has been commenced in this line will be carried out. The committee will now meet with Mr. Haugk in the near future and present their plans to him. and as soon as this is done more definite reports can be made.
