Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Adams County, Indiana, will receive bids for the construction of a macadamized road in Hartford township in said county, known as the Macadam road, up and until 10 o’clock a. m., on Monday, March 6, 1911, at a regular session of said Board of Commissioners, held in the City of Decatur, Adams County, Ind Una, sealed bids will be received for'the construction of said road in accordance with the plans, specifications and report of tl\e viewers and engineer, which are now on file in the Auditor's office of said county, said road to be built of crushed stone alone. A bond must accompany each bid in twice the amount of the bid filed, conditioned for faithful performance of said work, and that the bidder if awarded the contract therefor and
• complete the same according to such contract and in accordance with the bid filed. All blds shall be made so as to give the amount for which said road will be constructed for cash, payable on estimates to be made by the Engineer In charge, not to exceed eighty per cent of any one estimate, out of the funds to be hereinafter raised by the sale of bonds as required by law. County of Adams, ss: Before the Board of Commissioners of the County of Adame, March Term. 1910. „ We, the undersigned, each and all of whom are resident free holders and voters of Washington Township,. Adams County. Indiana, respectfully repetition your honorable body and ask that you construct and complete a free macadamized stone road in said I Township, over and upon the public ihighway, situated on the following route, to-wit: Commencing on the macadamized road at the southeast corner of the northeast half (%) or section seven I (7) in township twenty-seven (27) north range fourteen (14) east, Adi ams county, Indiana, thence to run 'west through said section seven (7) a distance of about one (1) mile and I terminating at the township line road. I dividing the townships of Washington and Kirkland in said County and State. Your petitioners aver and say that 1 the improvement prayed for is less than three miles in length and connects at one end with a free macadam ; road within said Washington Township, and at the other end with the township line. Your petitioners further aver and say that the highway herein sought to be improved is one of the public highways already laid out and established in said Washington Township. Your petitioners ask your honorable j body that the said highway above described be drained and graded and that broken stone be placed upon the grade and that upon such broken stone there be placed stone screenings and that this improvement be made . exclusively of crushed stone and screenings. Your petitioners further ask that said highway above described be improved to the width to which it is now established, that being about forty (40) feet and that said highway be graded to a width of twenty-four (24) feet and that broken stone be placed thereon to a width of ten (10) feet, and to the depth of eight (8) inches at the sides thereof and to a depth of ten (10) inches in the center thereof, and that crushed stone screenings be placed thereon to a depth of four (4) inches upon such broken stone, and that said improvement be made a double track road, that the same be called and known as the Egly-Nyffler Macadam Road. Your petitioners further ask that to pay for said road, bonds be issued by the County of Adams, in the State of Indiana, payable in twenty (20) annual installments or series, and for the ‘ paments of which we ask that a tax be levied upon the taxable property of said Washington township, in a siif- ' ficient amount to pay the interest and principal of said bond as they become due. State of Indiana, County of Adams, ss: Before the Board of Commissioners of the County of Adams, March Term. 1910. t . .ii We. the undersigned, each and au of whom are resident adult freeholders and voters of Washington Township, in Adams County, Indiana, petition your honorable body that you construct and complete a free macadamized stone road in said Township over and upon the public highway situated on the following route, to-wit; Commencing at the northwest corner of section twenty-six (26) township twenty-seven (27) north range fourteen (14) east in Adams county. Indiana, running thence east over and upon the public highway dividing sections twenty-three (23) and twenty-six (26) township and range aforesaid and terminating at the northeast corner of said section twenty-six (26) township and range aforesaid. Your petitioners say that the improvement prayed for is less than i three miles in length, connects at ; both ends with a free macadam road ; in said township and that a United i States rural mail route passes over the highway sought to be improved.
