Christmas will be a sad day in the ' Forest Light home cm North Tenth * street, the death of their little son, ’ I Arden Amos, occurring Friday evening at 6 o’clock after a week’s illness ’ I with pneumonia. The babe was b'orn ‘ I February 6, 1910, and had arrived at ! the age of ton months and seventeen : days—endearing itself to all, not only ’ in the Immediate household, but all those who had come to know it. Sur--1 viving, besides the grief-stricken par--1 ents, are a sister Gladys, and a broth- ’ er, Walter. The funeral will be held tomorrow. The procession will leave the house at 1230 o’clock for the Salem Evangell- ’ cal church, where the services will bq ’ conducted by the Rev. D. O. Wise. ' Burial in the Salem cemetery. This has been the custom for many years, and Is a verjupopular as well as a generous one.*®fe children look forward to this day with pleasant anticipation not only because it Is the last one before vacation but because of the treat in store for them. The teachers are to be commended for their generosity. In many schools appropriate Christmas programs were 'jrendered, consisting of recitations,, dialogues, readings,'Songs, etc. Beaujtifully decorated Christmas trees adped to the pleasure of the children in ! many instances. ‘I . — „/ CUT GASH IN HEAD. *4 While shopping in the city, Mrs. Reuben Giipen had the misfortune to fall on the slippery pavement in, front of the Clem Voglewede shoe store. In the fall a deep gash was cut- in the back of herhead, and she was obliged to go to a doctor to hive it dressed. She was much better this morning.
