Will Zwick was called to the Brookmeyer home a mile north of Williams at 2:15 this afternoon on account of the death of Grandpa Brookmeyer, an aged man of ninety years, who died this afternoon at the home of his sou, Henry Brookmeyer. The deceased was one of the pioneer residents of Allen county and had been In feeble health for some time. All last night his condition was very low, and ft was thought that his death would occur at any moment. . , if’ . ,ki.r » nrf. FINDS STOLEN MONEY DRAWER. ‘ Clarence, little son of F. E. Smith, the gunsmith, while playfag on South Third street, found the stolen money drawer, which was taken from the Erie depot during the robbery of Mongay evening. The drawer was broken in five or six pieces, and lay on the weßr south of the , Woodward home. The robbers had evidently grabbed the money drawer and money and ran, an after taking out the money, threw the drawer away. The lad, picking up ,the pieces, took them home, not knowing what they were, but Mr. Smith was not long in determining and notified the officers. — - o — -—! — THE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT. The "High School Student,’’ Is the name of the new paper to be published every six weeks by the Decatur high school. The first issue will appear in a few weeks.
