State of Indiana, County of Adams,ss: the Board of Commissioners of the County of Adams, March Term, We, the undersigned, each And all of whom are adult resident tree-holders and voters of Monroe township, Adams County, Indiana, respectfully petition your honorable body and ask that you construct and complete a froe macadamized stone road, in said Township, over and upon the public highway situated on the following route, , to-wit’• Commencing at the southwpßt cbr*7Her of the northwest quarter of sec. tlon twenty-four (24) township , twen-ty-six (26), north range fourteen (14) east, in Adams County, Indiana, running thence west through the center of section twenty-three (23)> and, section twenty-two (22), and terminating at the southwest corner of the north-* west quarter of said section two (22), township twenty-six (26); north range fourteen east. ’ O . Your petitioners aver and say that the improvement prayed for is less than three, miles in length, connects at both ends with a free macadam road in said township, and that a United States Rural Mail Route passes over said highway. b Your petitioners further aver and shy that the highway therein sought to be Improved is a public highway already established and in use and is one of the public highways of said Monroe township. Your petitioners ask your honorable body that said highway above described be drained and graded, and that broken stone be placed upon the grade, an dthat upon such broken stohe there be placed stone screenings.
