PETITION FOR STONE ROAD. State of Indiana,County of Admas, ss; Before' the Board of Commissioners of the county of Adams, November Term, 1909. We, the undersigned, each and all of whopi are resident freeholders and voters of Washington Township, and the City of Decatur, situated therein in Adjanis County, Indiana, respectfully petition your honorable body and ask that you construct and complete a free macadamized stone road in said Township over and upon the public highway situated on the lolloping route, to-wit: Commencing at the northeast cor; ner of the southeast quartet of section eight (8), township twenty-six (26) north range fourteen (14) east in Adams County. Indiana, thence north on the public highway dividing the north Knlf of said section eight (8) aforesaid and the north half of section nine (9) township and range aforesaid, and the-south half of sections four (4) and. five (5) township and range aforesaid^'and terminating at the Decatur and Bluffton Macadam Road at a point about 20 rods north of the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of said section five (5) aforesaid. Your petitioners aver and say that the improvement prayed for is less than three miles in length connects at both ends with a free macadam road in said township and that a United States rural mall route passes over a part of the highway sought herein to be improved. Your petitioners furthep aver and say that the highway herein sought to be improved is a public- highway already established and in use and is one of the public highways of said Washington township and that this improvement is to be a continuation of, and an extension to the Decatur and Bluffton Macadam Road. We: the undersigned, each and all of whom are resident freholders and voters of Washington Township, Mid the City of Decatur, situated therein in Adams county, Indiana, respectfully petition your honorable /body and ask that you construct and com 1 plete a fre macadamized stone road in said Township over and upon the public highway situated on the following route to-wit: . Commencing about twenty (20) rods north of the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of section five (5), Township twenty-seven (27) north range fourteen (14) east, in Adams County, Indiana, running thence in a northeasterly direction on the highway dividing the north half of sections four (4) and five (5). Township and . range aforesaid, to where said "highway angles.from said section line, thence following the highway, and terminating -" about twenty-five (25) )rods east of the northeast corner of the northeast quarter o fgaid section five (5) Township and Range aforesaid. Your petitioners Aver and say that the improvement prayed for is less than three miles in length, connects at both ends, with a free macadapi road in said Township, and that -aUnited States rural mail route passes over a part of the highway 'Sought herein to be improved. Your petitioners further aver and say that the highway herein sought to be improved is a ptfbllc highway already established and in use and is one of the public highways of said Washington Township and that this improvement is to be a continuance of, and an extension to the Decatur and Bluffton Macadam Road. Your petitioners ask your honorable body that said highway above described be drained and graded, and that broken stone be placed upon the grade and that upon such broken stone be placed stone screenings, and that this Improvement be madte exclusive of crushed stone and screenings. That to pay for said improvement we ask that bonds be issued by the County of Adams, th the State of Indiana, payable 3n twenty semiannual linstallments or series, and for the payment of which we ask that atax be levied upon the taxable property of said Washington
