We, the undersigned, each and all of whop are resident freeholders and legal voters of Kirkland township, Adams county, and State of Indiana, hereby respectfully petition your hon- ( orable body, that you proceed to have a free macadamized Stone road con- | structed and completed in said Kirkland township, Adams county, and State of Indiana, over and along and . upon the public highway, situated on, the following route, to-wlt: I Commencing at a point where the | section line road running north and ; south between sections ten and eleven in said Kirkland township, Adams county, Indiana, intersects with the free macadamised road running east and west on the section line known as the Peterson & Prairie macadam road, thence south on said section line dividing section ten and eleven and fifteen and fourteen in said ' township of Kirkland, a distance of tfco miles and thpre to intersect with ■ a free macadamised road bounding said section fourteen and fifteen on the south and known as the Kirkland Township Central Macadam Road and there to terminate. built, made and constructed upon said highway, what is known as a macadamized road, and that the same be graded and built as a double track road. And your petitioners further show that the highway thus sought to be Improved is a public highway already established, and is one of the public highways of said Kirkland township, Adams county, Indiana. We ask that said improvement be paid for by bonds issued by the County of Adams in the State of Indiana, payable in twenty semi-annual installments or series, and for the payment of which we ask that a tax be levied upon the taxable property Qf said Kirkland township; iAdams County, Indiana, in a sufficient amount to pay the interest and principal of said bonds as they become due, that said road be built, that said bonds be issued and said tax be levied upon said property of said township of Kirkland in accordance with the Acts of the legislature of the State of* Indiana, passed in the year 1905, beginning on page 550, and as amended in the acts of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, for the year 1907, in the Acts of 1907, and any and all amendments thereto. We further ask the Board that the proposed Improvement be constructed without submitting the question of building the same to the voters of said* Kirkland township, and that the Board take the different steps to have the said highway Improved as prayed for in this petition, and that they construct the same under and by virtue of the laws of the State of Indiana, providing for the connection and extension of free gravel or macadam roads.
