Road tax receipts will not be taken for the second Installment of taxes. Examine your receipts M before leaving the office, and see that all your property is described. Also see that change is correctly made. —- « fl — —-Particular Attention I Those who have lands and lots, or ether property, in more than one township, must see that they have a receipt for all. County Orders cannot be paid to any person owing delinquent taxes. All persons are warned against purchaffing such orders. ■ The Books will POSITIVELY BE CLOSED on the FIRST MONDAY IN MAY and the FIRST MONDAY IN NOVEMBER. ■ Assignees, Guardians .Administrators, and others, who pay taxes on property in trust, and persons whose taxes are complicated, such as Individual estates, are earnetly requested to come before the last few days. -H The taxes of the Decatur and Bluffton, East Washington, Decatur and Monroe, West Washington, Geneva, Ceylon and Wabash Township and Joel Hlrschy, Monroe Township Central, Pleasant Valley and. Oak Grove,, ■ Peterson and Prairie and West Jefferson Township gravel roads, William Shoemaker gravel road, C. E. Bollinger gravel road, Kirkland Township Central gravel road, South Jefferson gravel road, North St Mays gravel road, South St. Mary’s gravel road, West Pleasant Mills gravel road, Decatur and Preble grvel road, and Brushwood College grave rpad, and all of the extension macadam roads are now due and payable at this office and are M subject to the same penalties as other taxes If not paid. The municipal taxes of the City of Decatur, and the towns'of Berne and Geneva are payable at thtsofflce. : . H The ANNUAL SALE OF DELINQUENT LANDS AND LOTS will take place on the SECOND MONDAY' IN FEBRUARY, 1909, at 10 o’clock a. m. ■ Persons Owing Delinquent Taxes should pay them at once. The law* Is of such a character that there is option left for the Treasurer but to enforce the collection of delinquent taxes, hwever much he may regret ■ to collect the same by sale of property. . - The Owner of Property on the First Day of March, shall be Considered as the Owner on that Day. (Sec. 103.) ’ - > — Corporation Dog Tax — — I There is Levied $2.00 on each Male Dog, and 15.00 on each Female Dog in the city of Decatur; and >I.OO on each Male Dog, and $2.00 on each Female Dog, In the town of Berne, and on each Male Dog, and 32.00 ■ on each Female Dog in the town of Geneva. . / The Treasurer will not be responsible for Penalties and Charges on Delinquent Taxes resulting from any omissions of the person paying such taxes to state •definitely on what property, in whose name, and what township or corporation it was assessed. “ • ■' 1..
