We, the undersigned, all of whom are resident freeholders and voters of French township, In Adams county, Indiana, rspectfully petition your honorable body that you proceed to have a free macadamized stone road construct® and completed in said French township, over and upon the public highway, situated on the following route, to-wit: Commencing at the northwest corner of section 12, township 26, north range 13 east, running thence south between sections 11 and 12, township and range aforesaid, to the southwest corner oJ said section 12, thence running west between sections 11 and 14, township and range aforesaid, to the northwest corner of said section 14, tbwnship and range aforesaid. Your petitioners show that the improvement thus prayed for is less than three miles in length, and connects at the ccmmencment with a free macadam road, and at the ending with a free gravel road, that United States rural mail route passes over a part of said route. Your petitioners further ask that said highway above described be graded, and that broken stone be placed upon the grade, and that upon such broken stone that there be placed stone screenings. Your petitioners further show that the highway thus sought to be improved is a public highway, already established, and is one of the public highways of said French township, that this improvement is to be an extension of the Monroe Central Gravel Road, and shall be called the Isch Macadam Road. Your petitioners sk that said road as above described be'graded to a width of 24 feet, and that broken stone be placed thereon to a width of 10 feet, and to a depth of 8 inches at the sides thereof, and to a depth of lu inches in the center thereof, and that crushed stone screenings, be placed thereon, to a depth of 3 Inches, upon such stone. That said Improvement be made a double track. We ask that said improvement be paid for by bonds, issued by the County of Adams, in the State of Indiana, payable in twenty ,semi-annual installments, or seiries, anjd (for the payment of which we ask that a tax be levied upon the property of said French township, Adams county, Indiana, In a sufficient amount to pay the interest and prln«#pal of said bonds, as they become due. That said road be built, and that said bonds be issued, and said tax be levied upon the taxable property of said French township, Adams county, Indiana, in a sufficient amount to pay the Interest and principal of said bonds, as they become due. And your petitioners further show that the public highway thus sought to be improved is a public highway already established and is one of the public highways of said French township. Your petitioners further ask that said road as above described be graded to a width of twenty-four (24) feet and that broken stopq be placed' thereon to awidth of ten (10) feet and to a depth of ten (10) Inches in the center thereof, and to a depth of eight (8) inches at the sides, thereof, and that crushed stone screenings be placed therein, to a depth of three (3) inches, upon said broken stone, and that said road be constructed as a single track. We ask that said improvement be paid for by bonds issued by the County of Adams, in the State of Indiana, payable in twenty semi-annual installments or series, and for the payment of which we ask that a tax be levied upon the taxable property of said French township, in Adams county, Indiana, in a sufficient amount to pay the interest and principal of said bonds, as they may become due that said road be built, and that said bonds be issued and said tax be levied upon said property of said township, in accordance with the acts of the legislature of the State of Indiana, passed in the year 1905, beginning cn page 550, and as amended in the acts of the' general assembly of the State of Indiana for the year 1907, in the acts of 1907, and any and all amendments thereto. The undersigned, your petitioners, each and all of whom are freeholders and voters in the township of Monroe in said Adams county, State of Indiana, respectfully petition your Honorable Body to cause to be built, constructed and completed by grading, draining and placing of crushe stone thereon, a double track crushed stone road, over, along and upon the highway already established on the following described route: Commencing on a free improve macadamized road running north and south between sections thirty-three and thirty-four in township twentysix north, range fourteen east (being in Monroe township), Adalis county, Indiana, at the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of said section thirty-three; thence to run west on the half section line dividing said section thirty-three o the northwest corner of the southwest quarter of said section thlrfy-three and to a free improved macadamized road running north anil south between sections thirty-three arid thlrtytwo in said township, a distance of about one mile and there to terminate. A part of said highway being on the north (boundary line W the incorporated town-of Berne, Indiana, and all being in the township of Monroe aforesaid. Your petitioners aver and say that the improvement prayed for hereto is less than three miles to. length and connects at the commencement thereof with he Burk free gravel road in said Qwnship. and connects at the end or terminus with an Improved highway on the boundary line of Jay and Adams counties aforesaid. Your petitioners further ask that said highway above described be drained and graded and that crushed stone be placed upon the grade, and thatzupon such crushed stone there be placed stone screenings. Your petitioners further ask that said highway above described be graded to a width of 24 feet, and thta crushed stone be placed thereon to a width of 10 feet, and to a depth of 8 inchs at the sides thereof, and to a depth of 10 inches in the center thereof, and that crushed atone screenings be placed thereon to a depth of 3 inches upon such broken stone, the .grade to be level with the surface or the ground, and that said improvement be made a double track. That the name of said road shall be the Beeler Road. That to pay for said improvement we ask that bonds be issued by the county of Adams in the State of Indiana, payable in twenty semi-annual installments or series and for the payment of which we ask that a tax be levied upon tlie taxable property of said Wabash township, including the Town of Geneva situated therein, in « sufficient amount to pay the interest and prluclpay of said bonds as they become due. That said improvement be made and, that said bonds be issued and tax be levied upon said property of said township in accordance with the acts of the legislature of the State of Indiana, passed in the year 1905, beginning on page 550, apd as amended in the acts of 1907, now in force providing for the extension of free gravel or nmcadam roads, and any other and all amendments thereto. Tour petitioners further show that the highway thus sought to be improved is a public highway, already established, and is one of the public highways of said Wabash township. Your petitioners further ask that sold highway as heretofore described be graded a width of twenty-four (24) feet, and that broken stone be placed thereon to a width of 10 feet, and-to a depth of 8 inches, at the sides thereof, and to a depth of 10 .inches in the center thereof, and that crushed stone screenings be placed upon such broken stone to a depth of 3 inches, and .that said road be constructed as a double track. We ask that said improvement be paid for by ftonds Issued by the County of Adams, in the State of Indiana,* payable In 20 semi-annual Installments or series, and for the payment of which we ask that a tax be levied, upon the taxable property of said Wabash township, in the town of Geneva, situated therein, Adama county, Indiana, to a sufficient,amount to pay the Interest and principal of said bonds, as they may become due.
