We, all of whom are resident freeholders and voters Os French township, in Adams county, Indiana, rspectfully petition your hon‘orable body that you proceed to have a free macadamized stone road con- , struct® and completed in said French township, over and upon the public highway, situated on the following route, to-wit: Commencing at the northwest corner of section 12, township 26, north range 13 east, running thence south between sections 11 and 12, township and range aforesaid, to corner of said, section 12, thence running west between sections 11 and 14, township and range aforesaid, to the northwest corner of said section 14, township and range aforesaid. * Your petitioners show that the improvement thus prayed for is less than three miles in length, and connects at the ccmmencment with a free macadam road, and at the ending with a free gravel road, that United States rural mall route passes over a part of said route. Your petitioners further ask that said highway above described be graded, and that broken stone be placed upon the grade, and that upon such broken stone that there be placed stone screenings. Your petitioners further show that the highway thus sought to be improved is a public highway, already established, and is one of the public highways of said French township, that this improvement is to be aji extension of the Monroe Central Gravel Road, and shall be called the Isch Macadam Road. Your petitioners sk that said road as above described be graded to a width of 24 feet, and that broken stone be placed thereon to a width of 10 feet, and to a depth of 8 Inches at the" sides thereof, and to a depth of lu inches in the center thereof, and that crushed stone screenings, be placed thereon, to a depth of 3 Inches, upon such broken stone. That said Improvement be made a double track. We ask that said improvement be paid for by bonds, issued by the County of Adams, in the State of Indiana, payable in twenty ,semi-annual installments, or series, anjd for . the payment of which we ask that a tax be levied upon the property of said French township, Adams county, Indiana., in a sufficient amount to pay the interest and principal of said bonds, as they become due. That said road be built, and that said bonds be issued, and said tax be levied upon the taxable property of said French township, Adams county, Indiana, in a sufficient amount to pay the interest and principal of said bohds, as they become due. Tht said road be built, and that said bonds be issued, and said tax levied, upon said property, of said township, >in accordance with the acts of the legislature of the State of Indiana, passed in the year 1905, beginning 6n page 550, and as amended in the acts of 1907, now in force, providing for the extension of free gravel, or macadam roads, and any, and all other amendments thereto. We further ask the Board to take all of the necessary steps that is required by law to have said improvement constructed and made, as petitioned herein, that the same be constructed, without submitting the question of building the same, to an election of the voters of said French township, and that they construct the same under the law of the State of Indiana, now In force providing for the extension of free gravel or Macadam roads. of and an extension of the French township central macadam road, extension No. 1, and this improvement is to be called Tanners Extension No. 1. YOur petitioners further ask your honorable body that said highway above described be graded and that broken stone be placed upon the grade, and that upon said broken stone that there be placed stone screenings, and that there be built, made and constructed upon said highway, what is known as a macadamized road. And your petitioners further show that the public highway thus sought to be improved is a public ;highway already established and is one of the public highways of said French township. Your petitioners further ask that said road as above described be graded to a width of twenty-four (24) feet and that broken stone be placed thereon to awldth of ten (10) feet and to a depth of ten (10) inches in the center thereof, and to a depth of eight (8) inches at the sides thereof, and that crushed stone screenings be placed thereon, to a depth of three (3) inches, upon said broken stone, and that said road be constructed as a single track. The undersigned, your petitioners, each and all of whom are freeholders and voters ill the township of Monroe in said Adams county, State of Indiana, respectfully petition your Honorable Body to cause to be built, constructed and completed by grading, draining and placing of crushe stone thereon, a double track crushed stone road, over, along and upon the highway already established on the following described route: Commencing on a free iinprove macadamized road running north and south between sections thirty-three and thirty-four in township twentysix north, range fourteen east (being in Monroe township), Adams county, Indiana, at the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of said section thirty-three; thence to run west on. the half section line dividing said section thirty-three o the northwest comer of the southwest quarter of said section thirty-three and to a free improved macadamized road running north and south between sections thirty-three and thirtytwo in said township, a distance of about one mile and tiere to terminate. A part of said highway being on the north boundary line the incorporated toWn of Berne, Indiana, and all being in the township of Monroe aforesaid. Said petitioners further show that said proposed improvement will be on an established highway, and will connect at each end with a free improved macadamized road, and will be less than.three miles in length. That said road be known and called the C. C. Sprunger Macadam Road. Said petitioners would further ask that said road be built as a double track road, and that it be graded to the width of twenty-six feet and that crushed stone be placed thereon on ton of said stone. We, the undersigned, each and all of whom are resident freeholders and voters of and in Wabash township, and the Town of Geneva, situated therein, in the (JJounty of Adams, and State of Indiana, do hereby respect-, fully petition your honorable body that you proceed as required by law tr have a free macadamized stone road established, constructed and completed in said Wabash township, said county and etate, over and along the public highway situated on the following route to-wit: Commencing at the northwest corner of the northwest quarter of section thirty-one (31), township twen-ty-five (25) north, range thirteen (13) east, running thence east on the dividing line between sections thirty (30) and thirty-one (31) township and range aforesaid to the northeast corner of section thirty-one (31), running thence north on the section line dividing the south half of sections twenty-nine (29) and thirty (30), township and range aforesaid, and ending at the northwest corner of the southwest quarter of section twentynine (29) . ownshipand range aforesaid, all in Adams county. Indiana. Your petitioners further show that said improvement is less than three miles in length and connects at both ends with a free gravel road in said Wabash township. Your petitioners further show that the improvement herein prayed for is to be a continuation of and an extension of the Shoemaker Free Gravel Road, and this improvement is to be called the Harlow Macadam Road extension. Your petitioners further ask your honorable body that said highway above described be graded, drained, and that broken stone’ be placed upon the grade, and that upon such broken stone there be placed stone screenings, and that there be built, made and constructed upon said highway, what is known as a macadamized road. And your petitioners further show that the public highway thus sought to be improved as a public highway, already established and is is one of the public highways of said Wabash township. We, the undersigned, eachand all of whom are resident freholders and « xoterS of and in Wabaflh township, Adams county, Indiana, resjiecifully petition your honorable body that you construct and complete a free, macadamized stone road in said Wabash township, Adams county, Indiana, over and along the public highway situated on the following route, to-wtt Commencing at the northeast corner of the northwest quarter of section 35, township 25, north range 14, east in Adams county, Indiana, running thence south along and over the public highway through section thir-ty-five aforesaid to an angle in said highway, thence following said angle in a southwesterly direction, thence south following in said highway and terminating at the pubic highway on the boundai-y line between the counties of Adams and Jay in said state and near the southeast corner of the southwest quarter of said section thiry-five aforesaid, being about one milq and fity-four rods in length. Your petitioners aver and say that the improvement prayed for herein is less than three miles in length and connects at the commencement thereof with he Burk free gravel road in said ownship and connects at the end or terminus with an improved highway on the boundary line of Ja'y«and Adams counties aforesaid. ; Ti' 7 Your petitioners further aver and say that the highway thus sought to be improved is a public highway already established' and in use and is one of the public highways of said Wabash township. Your petitioners further ask that said highway • above described be drained and graded and that crushed stone be placed upon the grade, and that upon such crushed stone there be placed stone screenings. Your petitioners further ask that said highway above described be graded to a width of 24 feet, and thta crushed stone be placed thereon tb a width of 10 feet, and to a depth of 8 inchs at the sides thereof; and to a depth of 10* inches in the center thereof, and that crushed stone screenings be placed thereon to a depth of 3 inches upon, such broken stone, the grade to be level with the surface of the ground, and that said improvement be made a double track. That the name of said road shall be the Beeler Road. That to pay for said improvement we ask that bonds be issued by the county of Adams in the State of Indiana, payable in twenty semi-annual installments or series and for the payment of which we ask that a tax be levied upon the taxable property of said Wabash township, including the Town of Geneva situated therein, in a sufficient amount to pay the interest and principay of said bonds as they become due. That said improvement be made and that said bonds be issued and tax be levied upon said property of said township in accordance with the acts of the legislature of the State of Indiana, passed in the year 1905, beginning on page 550, and as amended in the acts of 1907, now in force providing for the extension of free gravel or macadam roads, and any other and all amendments thereto. We further ask the board to take all th<* necessary steps required by law to have said ‘lmprovement constructed and made as petitioned herein, and that the same be constructed without submitting the. question of building the same to an election of the voters of said Wabash township and that the board construct the same under and by virture of the laws of the state of Indiana, providing for the extension of free gravel or macadam 'toads.' STONE ROAC|. • * State of Indiana, County of Adams, ss: ’ , Before the Board of Commissioners •, of the County of Adams, February a Term,. 1909, . .'XtsSl® We, the undersigned, each and ail of whom are resident freholders and * voters of Wabash township, in Adaips • county, Indiana, most respectfully pe- ■ tition your honorable body, that you - construct and complete a free macadi> amlzed stone road, over and upon the 3 public /highway, situated' upon the following route, to-wit: ’ Commencing at the northwest corner of the northwest quarter of section one (1), township twenty-five (25) north range fourteen (14), east, in Adams county, Indianh, running f thence south on the Section line divfdl Ing section 1 and 2 township and range ' aforesaid, and ending at the southwest corner of the southwest quarter ot said section 1 township and range I aforesaid? That the improvement thus prayed for is less than three miles in length : and connects at the ending with a ! free macadamized road and at the r commencement there connects with a free gravel road, known as the ! Wagner Free Gravel road, in said I township, and this improvement is , to be an extension and a continuation ‘ I’s <ie 'said Wagner Frtee Gfavel i Road* an dis to be known as the - Farlow Macadam Road extension. l YOur petitioners ask your honorable ■ body that said highway above described be graded, and that bnQken stone be placed upon the grade, and that upon such broken stone that there be placed stone screnings. , Your petitioners further show that, the highway thus sought to be im-:' > proved is a public highway, already established, and is one of the public I highways of said Wabash township, i Your petitioners further apk that • said highway as heretofore described I be graded to a width of twenty-four i (24) feet, and that broken stone be placed thereon to a' width of 10 feet, i and to a depth of 8 Inches, at the sides thereof, and to a depth of 10 inches in the center thereof, and that > crushed stone screenings be placed upon ’such broken stone to a depth : of 3 inches, and that said road be i constructed) as a double' track. 1 We ask that said improvement be paid for by |>onds (Issued by the . County of Adams, in the State of Indiana, payable in 20 semi-annual ln- ' stallments or series, and for the payi ment of which we ask that a tax be levied, upon the taxable property of . slid Wabash township, in the town of > Geneva, situated t therein, Adams' county, Indiana, in a sufficient amount ; to pay the interest and principal of said bonds, as they ffiay become due. That said road be built, and that said bonds be issue and said tax be . levied, upon said property, of said township, and the Town of Geneva,' situated therein in accordance with the acts of the legislature of the State of Indiana, passed in the year 1905, beginning on page . 550, and as amended in the acts ot 1907, now in force providing for the extension of free gravel or macadam roads. We further ask) that the board take all the necessary steps as required by law to have said improvement constructed and made, as petitioned herein, that the same be constructed without submitting the question of building the same to an election of the voters of said Wabash township, and that they construct the same under the laws of the State of Indiana, now in force, providing for the extension of free gravel or macadam roads.
