We further ask that said proposed macadam road be ordered and established at a uniform width of forty feet the entire length of said route herein petitioned for, that same be ordered, laid out and constructed as a double track road, one track to be macadamized with crushed lime-stone to a width of ten feet, six inches deep at the sides, and ten inches in the middle, with tvo inches of lime-stone sifting spread evenly over top of stone, that said road be properly drained and all necessary culberts established. We further ask that you order the issue of county bonds for the payment of the cost of said road improvement, same to be paid in twenty equal semiannual payments, for the payment of which said bonds, we ask that there be a tax be levied upon the taxable property of said Hartford township sufficient to pay principal and interest of said bonds as the same may become due and payable, under and by virtue of the provisions of said act of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana first herein referred to. We further ask that said road be built without submitting same to a vote of the voters of said township, wherein same is located. Indiana, most respectfully petition your, honorable body to cause to be built and constructed a stone road on and along the following route, to-wit: Commencing at the intersection of a highway running north and south with the highway running east and west at the southeast corner of -the southeast quarter of section fifteen in township twenty-eight north, range thirteen east, in Adams County. State of Indiana, thence running north over the highway lying between sections fourteen and fifteen and over the highway lying between sections ten and eleven and over the highway lying between sections two and three, all said sections being in township twen-ty-eight north, range thirteen east. Adams county, State of Indiana, and terminating at what is known as the Winchester road, at a point located about ten rods north of the northeast corner of the northeast quarter of section ten in tpwnship twentv-elght north of range thirteen east. Adams County, Indiana, Safa oetltioners would further show that the above highway when completed will be about two mllps and ten "nd? in length and shall be called the Fred Blomenberg Macadam Road, Preble Township, Extension No. — Said proposed macadam road commences at its southern end at the free gravel road running east and west and known as the Ossion road, said Ossian road being already built and constructed as a free gravel road, thence running north terminates at the free gravel road running in a northwesterly direction and southeasterly direction known as the Winchester road, said

Said proposed road connects two already constructed and built free gravel roads, lying about two miles and ten rods apart In said Preble township, Adams county, Indiana. Said petitioners would further show that it would be practicable to build said road as a single track road to be graded to the width of twenty-six feet and that stone, crushed to the one-inch size, be placed thereon to the width of ten feet, with stone screenings on top of said stone. Said petitioners ask that the crushed stone placed on said road shall be to the depth of eight inches and the screenings placed thereon shall be placed to a depth of Jour inches. ‘ We ask that you take such action upon this petition as you are authorized and directed to do under and' by virtue of an act of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, approved March 9th, 1903, entitled, “An act concerning the construction of free gravel, stone or other macadamized roads, and for the payment of the costs thereof and their maintenance, and declaring an emergency,” and amended -by the General Assembly of said State, said amendment being approved March 4th, 1905, and any other acts of the General Assembly mentioned in said act of 1905, approved March 4, 1905. To the Boar of Commissioners of Adams County,’lndiana: _ We ,the undersigned, all and each of us freeholders of Root township, ind Adams county, Indiana, most respect-j fully petition your honorable body ttH cause to be built and constructed stone road on and along the route to-wit: Commencing at the. northwest compr of the southwest quarter of section twenty-nine, township twenty-eight north, range fourteen east, in Adams county, Indiana extending thence north over and along the public highway between the north half of sections twen-ty-nine and thirty, and between sections nineteen and twenty, to a point where said highway turns in a northeasterly direction, thence in a northeasterly direction to a point where said highway intersects with the Ossian road in section twenty, township and range aforesaid. The above improvement as prayed for is less than three miles in length and connects at each end with an improved free gravel road in said townshin. ’ Your netitioners further ask your honorable body that said highway above described be graded and that broken stone be placed upon the grade, and that upon this broken stone there be placed stone screenings, and that there be built, made and constructed upon said highway what is known as a Macadamized road and your petitioners further show that the public highwav thus sought to be improved is a public highway already established and is what is known as a dirt road, and is one of the public highways of said Root townSh'lp. Your petitioners further ask that said road as above described be graded to a width of 24 feet and that brok- ■ en stone’ be placed thereon to a width, of ten feet, and to a depth of ten inches in the center thereof and to a depth of eight inches at the- sides thereof, and that crushed stone screenings be placed thereon to a depth of four inches upon said broken stone. That the name of said road above described shall be called The Winchester Road Extension No. 2. We, the undersigned, all and each of ■ us resident freeholders ot Root town--1 ship in Adams County, Indiana, most respectfully • petition your honorable 1 body to cause to be built and construct- ’ ed a macadamized road on and along 1 the following route, to-wit: Commencing at the northwest comer of section eight township twenty-eight north, range fourteen east, running ’ thence east over and along the public ■ highway for a distance of two and sev- ! en-eighths miles between section five > and eight and sections four and nine ■ and sections three and-ten, township 1 twenty-eight north, range fourteen east ■ and terminating at the northeast cor- ‘ ner of -section ten, township twenty- • eight north, range fourteen east.
