In the Commissioner’s court ol Adams county. April term, 1906. Petition for the extension of tht Joel Hirschy Macadam Road. To tiie Honorable Board of Commig. sioners of Adams, County, Indiana: We, the undersigned petitioners freeholders, and voters of Wabael township in Adams county in thi state of Indiana, respectfully petition your Honorable body to cause i double track crushed stone road to be built and constructed on and along the following route, to-wit: Commencing at a point on the weq side of the Joel Hirschy .Macadam road where the first public highway south of tbe Wabash river intersect the said macadam road, in sectioi seventeen, township twenty five, north range fourteen east in said Adams county, Indiana thence to run on, along and upon said intersecting road in a northeasterly direction over and across section seventeen and across eighteen in said township and range aforesaid, to the public highway at the township line dividing the townships ot Wabaeh and Hartford in said county and state aforesaid, a distance of about one and one half miles and there to terminate. And we ask that said road be finished and dressed on top with stone screenings. That said proposed road shall be a free turnpike. Your petitioners further ask that said proposed improved road be paid for by bonds issued by the said county of Adams payable in twenty equal semi-annual near as the same may be, for the payment of which bonds we ask that a tax be levied on all taxable property ot said Wabash township in said Adams county.
