A Gigantic Wooden Stafne. In the Japanese capital there is a gigantic image of a woman, made of wood and plaster, dedicated to Hachiman. ths vd of war. THE PARSON BIRD. One of the Qneer Feathered Inhabitants of New Zealand. Among the feathered inhabitants of New Zealand there is a bird called the parson bird, or tui. It is about the size and shape of a blackbird, but has a pair of delicato white tufts at its throat and is a glossy dark green otherwise, which looks black in the sunlight.
