The ladies spent the day canvasing ail those who are eligible to metrbersbip and they are more than pleased with the ' outlook. They say’that everything is tavorable for the organization of one of the argest and best chapters that Can be found in a town . the size of Geneva. A meeting of a.i interested was held last evening to talk over the matters. Dame Rumor again has it that Geoeva is soon to have a hotel, that some one is making arrangements to recpen the Shamock. It is said that the party or parties are residents of this place, and that they will run the hotel in thoroughly up to date manner. It is a shame that the town has had no hotel and the fact has given Geneva a black eye among the tiaveling public. Many people do not realize, what a hotel means to Ja of this size. ‘ Tnat some one will open the house is the fervent wish of the greater number of people. That “every laddie loves a lassie and lassies love the laddies, too,” was a fact made very evident to day, so- it was Valentine day.
