Description of French Township Hacadam Road. Commencing at tbe northeast corner of section three (3). in township twenty-six (36) north range thirteen ' 18) east. In Adams county. Indiana, running thence south on the section line between sections two (2) and three (3). and ten (10i and eleven ill); and fourteen (14) and fifteen (15). and twenty-two (22) and twenty-three (23) to the southeast corner of section twenty-two (22) and there to terminate. The same being 4.05 miles in length. We further estimate the cost of the proposed improvement to be *16,295.53. ROADWAY. GRADE, ETC. The roadwav must be clear of all fences, trees, stumps. logs, and and all other material or rubbish of whatever nature it may be. ■ All stumps must !><■ grubbed or blasted out either in the drains or on the grade. The right-of-way shall be forty (4Ji feet in width. The grade shall be of the doubt tract system to be of a uniform width of twenty-eight (28) feet from shoulder to shoulder wi h a s'ope of tour G) inches from center to either side. The side drains shall be cut to a depth of not less than eighteen (18) inches below the hip C Air (trains shall be constructed in a neat and workmanlike manner with sufficient fall and outlet that they may carry all tbe water that may accumulate therein and remove the some from the right-of-way. The bottom of the drains shall be continuous and unobstructed. The road bed shall be made io a smooth and workmanlike manner and inspected and accepted by the superintending engineer of the road in I.UCO feet sections before any material fa placed thereon 11 at any time during the construction of the road or grade on or before the final acceptance or the same the grad° should settle the contractor shall fill all depressions caused by tile -fttelmg thereof and restore the same to thi grade as indicated on the profile. Grade and line stakes set by the engineer and destroyed through the negligence of the craitractor will be set again at the contractor’s expense. CRUSHED STONE, KIND. ETC. The crushed stone shall be placed on the grade or roadbed to a wi Ith of twelve (12) feet and t>> a depth of ten (10) inches in tbe center and eight (8) inches at the side, the coarser par<fates to be placed on ihe grade and the same covered with a layer of screenings to a depth of two 12) inches, this leaves eight (8) Inches of coarse stone in the center and six (6) inches at stone is to be placed on the grade from station oto station 107)4 on tbe east side of Idle sub-i’rade and from station 107'/, to station 214 the stone shall be placed on the west side •of the grade and at the point where the stone Is changed from one side to the other there ■shall be ten (10) yards of stone used in completing up the connections, said stone to be placed sis ordered by the superintendent and engineer. . t At points where road cresses bridges or stone arches the dirt track shall be stoned fifty <3i)j feet on either side. All material to be placed on the grade in a neat and workmanlike manner. The stone shall be graded in and rolled before final acceptance if deemed necessary by AlFstone must be so crushed that at least eighty (90) per cent, of the coarser particles will mass through a one and one-half (IV4) inch ring. All stone must be so crushed that all particles or products of the same are usually prosiuced by aGates-Gyrator crusher and to be placed on the grade as heretofore mentioned. The stone to be used to lie lime stone and equal in quality to the products produced by tire quarries of Adams county. STONE MASONRY, ETC.
