They carried him into I the shop and Dr. C. 8. Clark was hastily summoned and reduced the ■ fracture. Joe was then taken home where he will undoubtedly be. confined for some time. The fact has been brought to the notice of the Mayor and other city officials that some hoodlnms or miserean’s are taking great pleasure in shooting out the electric lights in the river bridge and also some of the lights out at the edge of town. Os ocurse the city officials realize that these lights make good marks but is rather a costly past me to the tax payers of the city and • should at once be looked into. The i large glass bulbs encircling 'he light cost the city on an average of one dollar apiece and at the end of the year when added up amounts to a very neat sum. This of course is not laid up against any honest citizen but is thought to be the work of several dunken hoodlums whose names we withold, but who are under survei lance of the officers and should the guilty parties again be caught in the act of destroying the public property, he or they will be dealt with to the , full extent of the law The lights are placed there for a public benefit and not to furnish amusement l r target practioe for any special party. So the guilty one had better put an end to this kind of work and save themselves further exposing j and needless trouble.
