FROM OLD ARKANSAS. Buffalo Creek. Ark., Jan. 6. 1904. Friend John: I will drop you few lines, the first 1 have written to any one. Jam well and hope yon are in the same boat. Well John, Pery, Yager er and Porter are still with me. they are talking of coining home soon, then I will be alone. I guess 3 can get along all me same, the wolves are good company, so I am all right. We have been about all over the s.uce we came down and now we are back to our old hunting grounds again. We haven t had the best of luck, only kiileo two deer so we have plenty to eat. We do not hunt very hard you know when we have a deer in eamp, just eat until it is gone, then mosey out and get some more. Porter and Perry saw four deer this forenoon, so they went back to try and get one. You see our meat is running out and rabbits and squirrels are plenty enough but they are not rich enough for our blood, you see we want deer as it lasts longer. We have lots of fun you bet I wish you were here so you could get scratched with the briars, thet are as thick as the hair on a dog? back. My hands would make a » good meal since they are so prickeu up with them. It would make a preacher swear to go through the.st briar patches, grape vines ano ail kinds of other trimmed with them and I tell you it is a job t<_ go through them. I do noi know how long I will stay but I think I will stay here until the first oi March, ft is a nice place to winter here and it has not froze a daj since we have been here and ha? not snowed at all, it has beet warm all the time but we have frosty nights. When you get this tell the boys lam all hunky dory and write and tell me how the primary goes. I remain you friend. Peter Frank. OLD FOLKS TFSTIFY. VIROL WO3TH 11000 TO A. J. BIKIB.
