It was at the home of Mrs. Mallon at Redkey that Charles Sheperd shot his wife. Mrs. Mallon was in delicate health, and it is thought the shock hastened her death. How to avoid trouble. Smith, Yager A Falk. , ts An unknown man was found dead on the outskirts of a small Kansas town recently. A revolver and 5100 in cash were on his person. The coroner held an inquest and took 875 to defray expenses and bury the body. The police judge fined the corpse 825 for carrying concealed weapons and confiscated the gun. The local newspaper, which published the obituary, got nothing. Was wasting away. The following letter from Robert R. " j The next Indiana legislature will be asked to change the manner of executing the death sentence in this state from hanging to electricity. Attorney General Taylor says he will have a bill introduced and he believes it will pass. The members of the state board are all busy men and cannot take the time to go around over the state visiting all the commissioned high schools and inspecting them with a view of bettering their standing.
