How to Conqer or Die. “I was just about gone,” writes Mrs. Rosa Richardson, of Laurel Springs. N. Some ex pects to generally overhall their property, while others will merely liix up the front part and allow the rear to go untouched. The first plan is certainly the best, because some of the public, some of the time, see the entire premises and if the back is not kept up in accordance with the front most generally a bad opinion is form ed, seldom ever failing to prove true.
Not So Strange. ' So many people wonder and ask themselves why it is that among so many coughs syrups Dr. Marshall’s Lung Syrup is so far superior for coughs. This is not so strange, this medicine was a lifetime study Dr. Marshall and perfected by him while Reaching for his own health. The purest drugs are used in its manufacture, hence the results. The only way we can convince you of the true merit of this medicine, is for you to give it a trial. It is guaranteed to give satisfaction, Price 25. 50 and sl. For fear of a libel suit the desires to correct a statement made in these columns several weeks ago. It wasstated that an equal mixture of salt, ashes and quicklime would prevent sheep worms. “Quick lime” should have read air-slacked lime. Quick lime would not only prevent sheep from having worms, but would prevent worms from having sheep. That you have never advertised is no plea at all. The oldest, most conservative and dignified business house has a distinct advantage when it begins advertising. Its reputation can not suffer if its publicity is i j keeping with its business methods, while the one of advertising space shows that he has taken on new ideas and got new blood into his veins. The only kind of advertising that can possibly hurt any business is weak, ineffective advertising, which is not advertising at all. Something that will do you good. We know of no way in which we can be of more service to our readers than to tell them of something that will be of real good to them. For this reason we want to acquaint them with what wo consider one of the very Ix'st rem edies on the market for coughs, colds and the alarming complaint, croup. We refer to Chamberlain's Cough Remedy We have used it with such good results in our family so long that it has Ixxomea household necessity. By its prompt use we haven't any doubt but that it has time anil again prevented croup. The testimony is given upon our own experience, and we suggest that our readers, ••specially those who have small children, always keep it in the house as a safeguard against croup. Camden (S. C.) The state board of health sends circulars every month to every house which has been visited by death from consumption, typhoid fever, diphtheria or scarlet fever. The circulars treat of the prevention of the diseases named, and are sent only to houses stricken by death because the board hasn’t the money to buy enough to send to all eases and before the deaths occur. Another good reason appears in the fact that most people will not heed the teachings of the circulars until death calls their attention to the wisdom of preventing disease. How it is done. The first object in life with the American people is to “get rich;” the second, hoiv to regain good health. The first can be obtained by energy, honesty and saving: the second (good health) by using Green’s August Flower. Should you be a despondent sufferer from any of the effects of dyspepsia, liver complaint. appendicitis, indigestion, etc., such as sick headache, palpitation of the heart, sour stomach, habitual costiveness, dizziness of the head, nerv-! ous prostration, low spirits, etc., you need not suffer another day.
