Among the institutions of industry which have held a high rank among Decatur enterprises for years is the old Fornax Mills on First street, owned by 11. H. Bremerkamp. The latter is a hustler and believes in keeping thoroughly apace with the times and has just completed some improvements which go to prove that fact. Under the personal direction of Mr. C. G. Thompson he has refitted hie mill and placed therein a line of Thompson’s grading, purifiers and separators, which are manufactured by O. W. Conner & Co., of Wabash, Indiana, who are sole manufacturers. The results obtained By this system of separators are conceeded to be far in advance of anything heretofore attempted and mark another mile-stone in modern progress in the art of milling. While the products of this mill have always met with universal favor, with these improvements Mr. Bremerkamp positively knows that the products of his mill are not surpassed by any in the state.
