Mrs. Daniel Donovan, who has been at the Fort Wayne hospital for several days was operated upon yesterday for a cancerous growth of the stomach. Reports of the physician are very discouraging but her host of friends here earnestly hope she may yet recover. She has been in ill health for some time.

The line is the Dayton, Fort Wayne & Cinj cinnati electric company, It will run ‘ from Cincinnati to Fort Wayne, a distance of 171 miles, passing through ' the cities of Lebanon, Dayton, CovI ington, Minster and other cities to ‘ Fort Wayne. A western division of ’ the same road is to be 99 miles in , length and is to run from Decatur to Dayton. Arrangements have already been made for floating 53.000.(XK) i worth of bonds. All righis of way have been secured, and work is to begin at the earliest date. D. W.
