THE HORROR GROWS Georgia Railway Disaster One of the Worst In Years. Attanta. Ga.. .lune 20.—Thirty-seven bodies have been recovered from the wreckage of the Southern train which went into a washout one mile and a : half from McDonough Saturday night. Three more bodies were found yester- ■ day. The charred pieces of two other i bodies were' also found. The injured who were sent to McDonough or Ma i con and those brought, here have left : for their homes. Many bodies of the dead have not been identified and these remain at ti e undertaking establishments, waiting to be claimed by relatives or friends. These bodies are i principally those of negro section hands who were killed. The number in the gang which was making its way to <Jo repairing work on the Georgia Midland and Gulf road ils not known. All of them perished. It Is supposed to have numbered 15. i which will make the total casualties 40. It is believed that some bodies still ' remain under the debris. I EXCURSIONISTS KILLED — Sunday Pleasure Seekers Meet Sudden Death In Wisconsin. Green Bay. Wis., June 25.—A north bound passenger train on the Chicago and Northwestern road, loaded with excursionists bound from the meager fest to tills city, collided at 10:15 o'chs'k Sunday morning, with a freight train at Depere. five miles south of here. Eight persons were killed anil 31 were injured. The accident happened just as the passetiW train was pulling Into the station. A double header frelgh was backing Into n side track to let the passenger by, but had not cleared the main track. Those injured were nearly all In <he second conch. When the two trains camo together, the first car which was u combination smoker and baggage, was driven through the second coach. Where the loss of life occurred. Nolle of the trainmen were Injured, the engine crews jumping In time to save themselves. Both engines were badly damaged and two coaches were broken Into kindling wood.
