Six months time with six per cent interest will be given on all sales. About the busiest place in town just at present is the cider mill owned and operated by Peter Kirsch, on North Third street. The mill is now' running every day and a long line of wagons can be seen filed ’along the streets almost any time. All who know Pete know the cider manufactured by him is first-class and those w’ho do not can easily find out by taking their apples to him.

Robert Peterson of this city, and Miss Lillian Noll of Pleasant Mills, were married last Saturday evening at Quincy, Ohio, Rev. John Freeman officiating. The wedding was a quiet one and the happy young couple returned to this city Sunday morning. Both are well known young people and have our best wishes for a long and prosperous future. The coming of the all-American colored base ball club to this city September 25 and 26, will be theatheletic event of the season. The team is headed by Bud Fowler and each and every player is a star who can compare w’ith the national league players. They give a grand street parade and play in full dress uniforms. Be sure and see them. The heirs of AA’m. Barber will sell at public sale on the farm known as the George Thomas farm, two and onehalf miles northeast of Monroe, on AVednesday September 20, the following property, to-wit: Horses, cattle, brood sows, shoats, harness, wagon, self binder, harrow, plow, bob-sleds, corn in shock, clod crusher, mowing machine and other articles not herein mentioned. As the farmers hogs are dying in many localities it would be well for them to use something as a preventative before their hogs are taken sick, and I know nothing that will fill the bill better than the following remedy, viz: Charcoal, one bushel; unslacked lime, one peck; salt, one pound; copperas, two pounds; saltpeter, one pound; sulpher, one pound. Mix and feed two tablespoonsful of the mixture to each hog twice a day. Try it. AV. H. Shepherd, Linn Grove, Ind. The last will and testament of William P. Rice, deceased, was probated at the clerk’s office yesterday. It gives to the surviving widow the home on North Second street, together with everything belonging thereto. The rest of the estate is directed to be sold and the proceeds to be divided among the legal heirs, namely, Frances Rice, Elizabeth H. AVherry, Mary C. Anderson, Joseph M. Rice, Sarah F. Robison, Alice A. Huffman, Mary J. Smith, William F. Rice, Frances S. Bryson and Benjamin J. Rice. Joseph M. and Beniamin J. Rice are named as executors and have already taken out letters of administration. The greatest outdoor event of the season will be the appearance in this city on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 25 and 26 of the famous all-American colored base ball club on their trip to California, where they are billed to play eight games, receiving therefore the very neat sum of SB,OOO. They will play two games here against a strong aggregation now’ being organized for the event. It is probably that a battery from the Fort AVayne interstate league team will be in the points for Decatur. The “Coons” play in full dress suits including silk hats and full cut-a-way coats, and their street parade is said to be very unique. Make arrangements to attend these games.
