John Frank, died at the parental home, three miles southwest of here, early Thursday morning, aged about seventeen years. David Eekrote was born in Columbia county, Pennsylvania, April 6, 1832, and died Sept. 15. 1897. aged sixtj-flve years, ti-emontbs and nine days. When a lad he moved with his parents to Starke county. Ohio, and later to Adams county. Indiana, being one of its early settlers, where in 1853 he was joined in marriage to Sarah Heller, to th- m were born six sons and seven daughters, three sons and two daughteas are living while eight children proceeded him in death. On the 3rd day of February, I"88. death laid claim on his companion, when, subsequently he remarried to Mrs. Sarah Hoskinson, I of whom death bereft him April 29, 1894. In the fall of 1894 he was elected to the office of county commissioner, which position he held at the time of his death. He leavesan aged and inrirru father, three sons and two daughters, ten grand children, together with a large number of friends sympathize bis death. His interment took place from the Evangelical church, Rev. C. M Pierce of Berne, delivered the discourse. followed by remarks by D. D. Spangler of Vera Cruz, when his remains were gathered unto his people in Greenwood cemetery.
