Fisher & Frysinger and Nidlingei & Haugk shipped sixty head of horses to Germany Tuesday. Earl Adam®, Roy Archibold, Don Quinn, Will Trout and Ernest Carr are rusticating at Rome City. Miss Clara Voglewede is visiting relatives at Toledo, Ohio. She will also visit Detriot before her return. Huffman & Liddy contractors for the masonry on the Decatur & Bluffton gravel road are hustling things along. John T. Kelley of Jefferson township, was in town Monday looking after some legal business in which he is interested. The Daughters of Rebecca held an ice cream social on the lawn at the residence of James T. Archbold Tuesday evening. Horace Botthoff left for Kingston, Missouri, this week to visit his sick mother. He will remain about tw’o months. Coffee & Baker are still headquarters for meals and lunch at all hours. You will find them at the Union Bakery. The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse King died at Portland last Thursday. .Relatives of this city were in attendance at the funeral. Perry M. Betz and Harriet Pollock, Jacob A. Schwartz and Katie Graber haye been licensed to marry, pull hair and forever live in peace. John D. Engle a prosperous farmer of French township, smole down upon ns last Monday. John seems to be interested in the ditch business. Bob Ehinger, Hugh Woods, Charles Voglewede and Martin Mylott were at Cincinnati Sunday taking in the Cincinnati Cleveland 1 ball game. Supt. Brandyberry held the monthly teachers examination Saturday. Sixteen applicants for re ' gular and graded work passed the j examination. Joseph and William Carter the | graders on the new Decatur and Bluffton gravel road, left for their home near Marion where they will . spend a week. Coffee & Baker still lead in fine bread. Everybody invited. ■ The ball game between Decatur and Van Wert Tuesday afternoon proved an easy victory for this city. Van Wert has a representative club of rowdies but very cheesy ball players.
