The Hartford township Sabbath school convention met at the Evangelchurch at this place. Two interesting sessions were held, afternoon and evening. The subject for next meeting is “False Worship, and True." Prof Bently, with his great dime show, staked his canvas on date of announcement at Pleasant Mills, and was greeted by an immence audience, and the voice of everyone gave Mr. Bently the praise of having one of the finest and moral entertainments now terveling. The Christian Endeavor Society has been discontinued for awhile, owing to a lack of interest and non-attendance of some of the members and the opposition of some.
