Mr. Tucker is car inspector at that place, for C. & E. R. Miss Lulu Miller, who while attending the teachers institute, was the guest of Miss Cora Shackley, returned to her home at Geneva this afternoon. Misses Lenora and Mollie Huffman, who have been rhe guests of Miss Mattie Young for thefpast week returned to their home at Linn Grove today. Mrs. E. B. Walkup and daughter, of Delphos, Ohio, wife and daughter of Ye Editor of the Delphos Courant, arrived in the city to-day and will be the guests of Clark Lutz and wife over Sunday. Webb Foreman authorizes us to say to the party that took his money, revolver and razors, that if they will return the razors, they can retain the money and revolver, and the matter will be settled. Miss Emma Gillium, who has been visiting her parents here for the past two months, went to Fort Wayne this afternoon, where she resumes work as teacher in the Short-Hand department of the International Business college. Jesse Steele, who was a passenger on the excursion train from Fort Wayne last evening, fell asleep [on the way home and rods on to Berne where he was awakened and sent home on the midnight train. The teachers institute closed today noon, the session being one of tne most interesting this county has ever held. Supt. During the absence of his attendant this afternoon, John Rex got up from his sick bed and crawling out of the window ran over to Scburger's restaurant. By the gentle pleadings of Albert Schurger and Mrs. Rex he was pursuaded to return home and Was put to bed completely exhausted from the violent exercise. Mrs. E. B. Walkup and daughter, Lulu, of Delphos, Ohio, who have been visiting Mr. and Clark Lutz and family returned home to-day.

She is accoinpanied by our niece, Miss Blanche Blackburn, of Fort Wayne. Miss Maggie Dorwin returned from Anderson to-day where she has been visiting. While here she is the guest of her patents, Wm. Dorwin and wife. The Misses Ella Fleming, Mary Merryman, Kate Mangold and Rachael Merryman, formed a special party that went to Toledo to-day, not only to see the city but to survey Lake Erie. Gurley Rademacher’s business room front is being handsomely, yea artistically painted in Alabaster white and old gold. To Lou Corbin and Frank Railing must be credited this very mechanical work. Mrs. Allison, Mrs. Townsend, Miss Tina Allison and Miss Rose Christen, returned Sunday night from their extended trip to northern Michigan greatly improved in health. Col. Tite Ernst went to Columbus, Ohio, this morning to attend the reunion of his old comrades. This is the first reunion of his regiment that Tite has attended since the war and he expects to see old comrades to day for the first time since ’65. Yesterday while Charles Badle was chopping in the woods about three miles south of the city, caught his ax on a limb which caused the ax to deflect from its course and strike him on the head, causing a severe scalp wound.
