A number of his friends were made aware of the fact in the evening at the Burt House case, where a number of packages of “extra dry” were opened and congratulations extended. Kurtz. Hart, son of M. Hart, met with a serious accident on Saturday last by fallingfrom a load or hay backwards, a portion of the’load on which he was sitting gave away and threw him to the ground on his back, a pitch fork in the hay came with it penetrating the lower portion ot the body near the hip and groin, causing three quite serious wounds which will lay the boy up for some weeks. ■

On last Tuesday, Fred Kaldeway, of south of Friedheim, called to renew his subscription. He insisted on paying two years in advance, giving as a reason that since Cleveland’s Administration has been in effect he has more money than he had before. We hope he may always be found in that condition, as well as a number of other subscribers.

The Auditor has sent his settlement sheet to the Auditor of State for his approval, and when duly approved the County Treasurer will pay to the State all dues for state, school and other funds to be distributed under state authority.
