Wm. Frank bad quite a lively time on last Friday evening about five o'clock While passing west on Monroe street, near the corner of Third with his horse i and sleigh, when a boy by the name of Clum Baker boarded the sleigh—or tried to. and in so doing badly frightened Mr. Frank’s horse. The horse made several spirited jumps which came near running into a team immediately ahead of him, and in ol'der to avoid a rear collision. Mr. Frank reined his horse to the side of the street passing over a large pile of sand and debris, overturning the sleigh, landing Mr. Frank in the ditch and the horse getting loose from him ran south on Third street fetching up against a shade tree in front of the residence of N. Blackburn. demolishing the sleigh and freeing himself from it ran south down Third street till near the C. X E. depot where he was caught without further injury excepl that of Mr. Frank who was badly shaken up and a few bruises The city authorities should not tolerate such practice by the boys of jumping on sleighs, and snow-balling the teams of people coming to the city, as it frequently endangers the life of people on t he streets, and many times great damage to property., Holiday Fxeursion Rales, The Erie Lines will sell round trip excursion tickets to poiuts west of and including Niagara Falls.
