Isaac B. Kelly of Jefferson township, died November 80,1893, and was buried Saturday in the Loopborrow grave yard. He was one of the old pioneer of the county. Aron Bricker Superentendent of the Gravel Roads in the south part of the county wasdn the city Monday paying his quarterly respects to the Board of County Commissioners. On Sabbath last the churches, and Sabbath Schools were reasonably well attended, the inclemincy of the weather considered, but the after part of the .day was well represented on the streets by both old and young trying to see which could enjoy the greatest amount of pleasure sleigh-riding, and from the general appearance of the horses in tne evening, the people using them must have had far more pleasure than the horses.

Gus Plessinger and H. H. Grove, of Bluffton, stopped off here while enroute for Berne to attend the organization of aK.of P. Lodge at that place last Tuesday night. It pays to raise hogs. Wm. Bobnke, of Root township, sold to J. D Neidlinger thirty-one head of hogs that weighed 5,300 pounds. They were of the Chester White breed. The First Regiment Baud of Fort Wayne of which Frank E. France is a member will open their grand musical fair in the building formerly occupied by the Ft. Wayne fire department as an engine house, corner Court and Berry streets. The old time hostler of the Miesse House (I. J. Miesse) was on hand as of yore with the old time custom, setting up to bis frieuds and customers the grandest Thanksgiving dinner ever presented to the patrons of the Miesse House of whome all returned thanks for the hospitality received. Judge Heller last Friday disposed of the case of Smith against Everette 'in which there seemed to be sixteen small turkeys in controversy and three hundred and fifty dollars cost, Everette getting the turkeys, but they are dear to him as well as to Smith. When such matters comes up between neighbors they bad better each give one half of the amount in controversy, than to go tn law about it for they are always looser in the end.

Mafin bad a lively runaway Tuesday He was doing work with the horse and mud-boat for the Box Factory when the horse by some cause took fright and ran away, bringing up at home, but through the awkwardness of the horse, or mud-boat every person on the streets cleared the track for fear Os being run over by the horse or slugged by the mutf-boat, but no material damage was done as far as beard from.

Blaize, an extensive real estate dealer in Des Moines, lowa, narrowly escaped one of the severest attacks of pneumonia while in the northern part of that state during a recent blizzard, says the Saturday Review. Mr. Blaize had occasion to drive several miles during the storm and was so throughly chilled that he was unable to get warm, and inside of an houre after his return he was threatened with a 1 severe case of pneumonia or lung fever. .
