Coverdale and Holloway were ' called to Monroe yesterday to council at the bedside of Mrs. Dr. Andrews, , whose sickness has been mentioned in the Democrat several times. i World's Fair Accommodations. There is no question but what the hotels and boarding houses in Chicago ' will be taxed to their utmost during the six months -of the World's Fair, May Ist to Oct. 31st. There will be 80.1X10 employes of the Exposition, together with the vast number of exhibitors, all of whom will want to secure rooms as near as possible to the Exposition Grounds, and who will be permanent residents of Chicago during the entire time of the Exposition. Then take, the visitors who will come from every foreign nation, the immense number from all portions of this country, especially during the months of July and August, when professors, teachers and college men will visit the Fair, it will be seen that desirable rooms will be at a premium. There are Several hotels within easy reach of the grounds which are now offering special rates to those who advance a small fee, notable among these are the Hotel Endeavor Epworth, Curtis (V. M. C. A. headquar, ters), and others. We believe it will be greatly to the advantage of our readers if they will secure their rooms at the earliest possible date, as the prices at which rooms can be engaged now are about one-half what will be charged at the time of the Exposition. The rooms in all the hotels are being very rapidly taken and it is only a question of a little time when rates will be advanced, or they will be obliged to refuse applications entirely. tteai Estate Transfers.
