With the improvements that will be made at once will be the best in the township. Sylvester King, while out hunting quail yesterday, had the best luck that we have heard of this season. Out of one bunch he shot and killed thirteen birds at one discharge of a double-barrel shot-gun. He also shot three rabbits and five squirrels. His birth-day ooccurs Saturday, when he intends giving his many friends a game supper. Tuesday evening the election of Governor Matthews and all the state ticket, with Martin, <t Our Dick” and Harkins, with Hartford a close follower, with all the county tibket, Hobroke and Fetters not accepted, caused the Democrats to shout themselves hoarse. It was not only Adams county and the state of Indiana, but New York, New Jersey. Connecticut, California, Illinois, the Solid South and almost a Solid North, even Ohio came smiling into camp at a late hour and a small majority.
