Our choir has prepared six Christmas presentations and the pastor will bring a special message each morning. Tune in and hear our choir and sense their joy at this season. The pastor will leave Monday to spend a day with -his parents in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and return on Wednesday. There will be many religious services on Christmas Eve in Decatur and the surrounding community. There will be Christmas morning services in some churches also. Try to attend one of them. German Protestant* have launched a fund drive for a “repentance church” to be built on the site of the Nazi concentration camp at Dachau. “One Lord, one world, one mission” has been chosen as the theme of the J 065 American Baptist Convention which will meet in San Francisco. There are more Baptists in the Soviet Union today than in all the other European countries combined. Only the United States has a larger Baptist body. The All Union Council of Evangelical Christian Baptists in Russia has 5400 registered congregations and a total membership of 540,000. Together with nonmembers, the Baptists have a following of over three million. Baptist churches are under the supervision of the Council of Religious Cults, the official Soviet agency which deals with the affairs of nonorthodo; religions.
