Airlines To Combine Reservation Systems WASHINGTON (UPI) — Eleven of the nation’s airlines have combined their electronic reservations systems to give passengers instant seat availablity no matter which carrier they are contacting. K The announcement Sunday meant that for the first time major airlines have agreed to use their data processing equipment to store each other's flight availability information.
