Retire To, or From? Many people must, retire at a certain mandatory age — long before they are ready to quit usefuLwork. Others retire from their own businesses to make way for their children or younger relatives. Many who face this type of retirement really want to do something, but sometimes just don’t think of anything to do. One very interesting avenue would be the more than 3,000 spota that will be open for those men and women who might be interested in entering the Peace Corps. Farmers, mechanics, accountants, social workers, nurses are just a few of thjp. jpore than 200 different builders, electricians, teachers of all kinds, doctors and trade and vocational skills requested for projects all over the world. Foreign travel, new interests, experiences, friends, etc., are open to those retiring. Peace corps workers need not be college educated — experience is the real need. The workers receive their cost of living and medical care plus a financial return that supplements their usual pension and/or social security. Your life may be only half-complete at retirement. You may want to contribute from your vast store of experience to help others in other lands, as a missionary of our culture and way of life. If you . dread the thought of retirement, idleness and decay, if you are in reasonably good health, and if you would like to put a valuable frosting on your "cake of life"— a work that will be remembered all over the world — why not write for a folder entitled, "Older Volunteers in the Peace Corps, Senior Manpower Recruitment, Washington, D. C. 20525. Editorial Written by —-—„—-— Dick Heller
